Day 01: Arrival - Chennai

Arrive at Chennai where you are transferred to the hotel. Proceed for the sightseeing tour of Chennai. Visit the National Art Gallery and Museum with a fine collection of ancient paintings of almost all schools, Fort St. George, St. Mary's Church, Marina Beach (the second longest in the world), San Thome Cathedral and Mylapore Shiva Temple. Rest of the day free for shopping in Chennai. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 02: Chennai

Visit Mahabalipuram, the only shore temple that has survived the ravages of time. The standing testimonial to the rock cut art.Drive to Kanchipuram , the city of temples in Tamilnadu have more than 1000 temples. Visit Vaikuntaperumal temple, Ekambareeswarar and Varadarajar temple. The Kanchipuram is also famous for its silk sarees.Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 03: Chennai - Madurai (by flight)

Leave for the airport in the morning to board the flight to Madurai. Disembark at Madurai airport and be welcomed and escorted by our representative to the pre booked hotel just for you. Begin your day at Madurai by sightseeing tour of the city. In the evening visit the Meenakshi Temple to attend the "Aarti" ceremony. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 04: Madurai - Periyar (128 Kms / 3 hrs)

In the morning drive to Periyar and upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Spend your afternoon boating on the Lake Periyar to explore the sanctuary at its best. Drive past the spice plantations like cardamom, cinnamon, pepper, coffee and tea estates. You can shop at the local market. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 05: Periyar - Kumarakom (115 Kms / 3 hrs)

Leave Periyar in the morning and drive to boat landing point from where the hotel's courtesy boat will take passengers to Kumarakom. Enjoy your day in swimming or for a massage. Visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary with a variety of bird species. The breathtaking view of the lake during the dawn and dusk leaves you spellbound. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 06: Kumarakom - Cochin (85 Kms / 2 hrs)

In the morning enjoy backwater cruise to Alleppey and back and after that drive to Cochin. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 07: Cochin - Back Home (by flight)

After breakfast visit Cochin the commercial capital of Kerala. Vasco-da-Gama placed this spice centre and the natural harbour on the world map. The tourist places in the city include a Jewish synagogue - The Dutch Palace, Portuguese Churches, Mosques, Hindu temples and Chinese Fishing Nets. Followed by your transfer to the airport in time for afternoon flight to Back Home.
